Programs and information
Augustana offers three types of off-campus programs, each in its own season during the year.
国产偷拍视频Students are away from campus for up to 16 weeks during fall or spring. Semester programs include student exchanges, university enrollment abroad, full-time internships, or sponsored study abroad programs through a private educational organization.
Students on a semester program typically enroll in four to six courses, equivalent to 12-18 credits.
Some programs pair one or two courses with a full-time internship, allowing you to earn up to 12 credits of internship.
Augustana advisors recommend that students in a semester program take no more than two courses in their major, and use the remaining credits for general education or graduation requirements, or to focus coursework on the local culture, history and society.
Many spring semester programs also may incorporate Augustana’s J-term, as they often begin in January. Student also can apply for both fall and spring to complete a full academic year abroad program.
国产偷拍视频Augustana faculty lead J-term programs of groups of 10-30 students on one to three weeks of travel. Some programs contain all the required coursework in the designated J-term period. Others pair a January course with a fall semester on-campus course.
国产偷拍视频J-term programs typically offer between four to six credits, with a single course or department designation, so J-term courses will be more focused and field-specific than summer or semester study away.
Summer programs are an option for students who seek an immersive experience but who do not believe a semester abroad is a good fit in their academic program.Whether sponsored by Augustana, such as trips to Ecuador or France, or external programs with transferable credit,
A typical summer program will provide between four to eight credits. June programs carry a required spring course, so any credits earned will be billed during the spring semester billing cycle. Most summer programs, including our language programs, will be treated as transfer credit and will not include Augustana tuition charges, though students will need to register their program with Augustana’s Office of International Programs in order to earn transfer credit or Augie Choice funding.
